F10 notification to HSE (required for projects lasting more than 30 working days or 500 person-days)
Construction Phase Plan prepared by the Principal Contractor before work begins
Pre-construction information pack from the Client and Principal Designer
Planning permission and approved drawings (including any conditions to be discharged)
Building Regulations approval or initial notice from an Approved Inspector
Party wall agreements and awards (where applicable under the Party Wall Act 1996)
Employers Liability Insurance certificate (must be displayed on site, minimum 5 million cover)
Public Liability Insurance and Professional Indemnity certificates
All signed contracts: main contract, subcontracts, consultancy agreements
RAMS for every activity on site, signed by operatives and accepted by the PC
COSHH assessments and Safety Data Sheets for all hazardous substances on site
Plant and equipment inspection records: LOLER thorough exams, PUWER inspections, PAT testing
Scaffolding inspection register (every 7 days, after alteration, after adverse weather)
Lifting plans and appointed person records for all crane and lifting operations
Permit-to-work records: hot works, confined spaces, electrical isolation, roof work
Worker induction records and training certificates (CSCS, CPCS, IPAF, PASMA, first aid)
Toolbox talk records with attendance sheets and briefing content
Accident book and RIDDOR reportable incident records
Waste transfer notes and environmental permits (waste carrier licence numbers)
Health and Safety File for ongoing compilation and handover at practical completion
