Purpose

RAMS (Risk Assessment and Method Statement) is a combined document that provides both the risk assessment for a construction activity and the detailed method statement for carrying it out safely. RAMS are the most commonly requested safety documents in UK construction and are typically required by principal contractors before any subcontractor work begins on site. They are a cornerstone of CDM 2015 compliance.
